History

1948 The company is founded by Dominik Pache near Stuttgart.
1954 The company moves to Landshut.
1969 Heinz Brunner takes over the management together with his father-in-law Karl Grassl.
1976 Karl Grassl resigns for health reasons.
1977 The company’s first own plant comes into being in Ergolding (near Landshut).
1978 Still a small company at that time, HA-BE installs the first EDP system.
1984 An extension is built on to the plant in Ergolding.
1987 Karl-Heinz Brunner steps into the company.
1988 A further extension is added to the plant in Ergolding after 1984.
1989 The company’s capacity is expanded in the areas of pressing and toolmaking.
1992 HA-BE is the first company worldwide to install an innovative robotic bending cell. In nearby Altheim (Landshut), a second production site is leased out.
1997 HA-BE builds a new plant in Altheim with a production area of 6,500 sqm and an administrative area of 2,000 sqm.
2001 400 t of pressing force exerted by the full automated MW drawing press increase the production possibilities.
2006 The production area is extended to cover 8,500 sqm. A logistics centre is created with an automatic high-rack facility for small parts as well as a pallet warehouse.
2008 Expansion of the production area to 10,500 sqm. A new production line for control system casings commences operations.
2009 The HPS (HA-BE production system) is further developed on an intensive basis.
With their takeover of 5% of the company shares, Stefanie and Isabella Brunner stand for the 4th generation that is integrated into the company.
2010 HA-BE overcomes the economic crisis and plans extensive investments in new technologies:
  • As one of the first companies in Europe, HA-BE introduces the use of a solid-state laser for use in laser cutting copper.
  • Several customer awards in the areas of quality and key accounts confirm HA-BE’s reliability as a partner.
2011 2 further 5-axle CNC milling centres go into operation.
2012 Production is launched at the plant in Taicang, China.
HA-BE expands its production capacity by means of a 8 kW robot laser welding cell.
2013 Festive opening of the new plant in Taicang on April 19, 2013
With the DMC 60 H linear, a 4-axle milling centre, the capacity is once again expanded in the metal-cutting production.
2014 Move to the new plant 2. This extends the production area by 2,300 sqm.
2015 Foundation of a Joint Venture with a Canadian company. In the future, the Joint Venture will serve the North American market under the name of HABE-ISE.
Through the installation of a TruLaser 5020, HA-BE is considerably increasing its production options in the area of  laser welding.
2017 Foundation of an affiliate company in the USA under the name of HABE USA Inc., located in Jackson/Missisippi.
2018 Relocation of HABE USA Inc. to Richland/Mississippi.
2019 Isabella Gamel (former Brunner) joins the company in an operative position
2022 Claus Föckersperger joins the company as CFO
